Director: Paul W.S. Anderson
You can't go into something like this expecting it to break any ground like the first couple Alien movies did. This was just made for the cash - but hell, for what it was I enjoyed it. Really awesome sets, plenty of violent battles (especially for pg 13), and lots of laughs (some probably intentional, some not so intentional). The plot, script, and characters were complete crap, but I suppose they were necessary. Still, I personally would have preferred a straight 90 minute fight scene between an alien and a predator with no story. They definitely could have skipped that absurd origin, and they really could have done without all the klingon-like star trek culture they gave the predators. Still, once the aliens start squirting acid blood and the predators start tossing spinning blades... you'll forget all that b.s. and realize why you're paying $8 for to see this movie.
