Audition Review

Review: Audition

Director: Takashi Miike

I've been real pleased with the Takashi Miike films I've seen, this one has to be my favorite so far. He spends a great deal of time setting up the characters before really getting into it. That gives this movie it's power when combined with the level of violence it has. Take away the depth of characters and it would be like one the guinea pig flicks. Sanitize the violence and it'd lean more towards a ball-less Hollywood-style thriller.
