Review: Boogie Nights

I know I am straying from the horror/other genre this site is aiming for with some of my reviews, but this movie must not go unwatched.
Loosely based on John Holmes, the porn star from the 70's (and his 12" penis), this movie stars Mark Wahlberg in the afformentioned role playing the aptly titled character "Dirk Diggler." At 17 year old at the beginning of the movie, "Dirk" is recruited into the porn industry by filmmaker Jack Horner, played to perfection by Burt Reynolds.
The movie also follows the lives of several other fictional porn stars, and their hardships as they try to gain custody of their children, kick coke habits, try to get bank loans, and just generally try to lead normal lives outside of the adult film industry.
Definately one of PT Anderson's best films, this movie is in definate deservance of the grade I am giving it.
