Captain Kronos - Vampire Hunter Review

Review: Captain Kronos - Vampire Hunter

Director: Brian Clemens

The vampires in this film don't suck blood, they steal the victem's youth. I like this take in that it plays on people's fear of aging, and the vampire's appeal is not so much eternal life as it is eternal youth. The story itself also bends the rules of a traditional vampire hunter movie as it crosses over into classic swashbuckling sword fights from time to time. Captain Kronos is great, he's completey full of himself and kills anyone who challenges him. I think it's about time to pick up some more Hammer films.
