Review: Curse Arcanum

Cancerslug, whom I consider the greatest band in the history of music, completely out-do themselves with their first offical release, "Curse Arcanum."
Finally having a set line-up, Alex Story and Co. decided to have at it with this latest album, and all the songs are so well written that you can feel the angst, pain, hardships and happiness pouring out of your speakers with each passing song.
The tracks, all perfectly mixed, are some of the greatest tunes I have heard in a long time. I imagine that a lot of you who would be reading this right now have heard the previous albums (or at least a generous helping of songs) that CS has put out in years past. Picture if you will all the best songs on the planet. Anything that you like, and imagine them being all on one disc. That is what this CD was for me while listening.
Songs like "Destruction", "Hopeless", and (my personal favorite) "Me" (a re-recorded version of a song from a previous album) just really get to you...its so hard to put into words the feelings that you get from music anyway, and this just takes the musical cake.
"I am shit, but at least I am me" is probably the greatest line ever written in modern music. Find it on this disc,(see "Me") along with 10 other of the best songs ever recorded.
