Director: Jim Fields & Michael Gramaglia
Probably the greatest rock documentary ever made, this film documents the originators and (arguably) most influentual punk band of all time: The Ramones.
Released in theatres last year, this movie was made in 2003 and is compiled from years of old archived footage, interviews with bands and punk icons, as well as concert footage and band rehearsals.
This movie, a lot like Ramones:Raw is packed with unseen videos and clips from the Ramones tours and backstage time.
Interviews include Lars Frederiksen of Rancid and Lars and the Bastards, Kirk Hammett, Debbie Harry, Rob Zombie, and Joe Strummer. The movie also has some classic footage of other bands that played with The Ramones in their day, including The New York Dolls.
Every bit as good and informative as Raw and just as much fun as Rock and Roll High School, this is probably the definitive punk icon documentary.
