Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Review

Review: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Director: Michel Gondry

Jim Carrey in a drama. Ah, how i wish this could always be... Kate Hudson and Jim Carrey have a very passionate romance that lasts for about 2 years. After they break up, Jim finds out that she has erased him from her memories. Devistated, Jim decides to also go out and have this unique medical experiment done for him also. But, during the course of the erasing, his memories are so good he decides he doesn't want to lose her, and would (basically) rather go through the pain of having lost her. So he takes his memory of her and hides her deep down in other memories where the machine that is erasing can't find them. Almost like a map of his memories. In the end, well, in the beginning we see them together, not knowing when in their relationship it is... Yeah, maybe it sounds confusing, only because it is hard to explain, but the movie is the best that I have seen in a while, and probably will be the best this year. Jim is an awesome actor (when not making his asshole ask for breath mints) and can pull of anything. He is totally believable as the lead love, and makes it work very well. Basically, it is better to have lost and loved, then never loved at all.
