Frankenstein and the Monster From Hell Review

Review: Frankenstein and the Monster From Hell

Director: Terence Fisher

This Hammer film is an unofficial sequel, taking place decades after the original story was meant to. A surgeon who reads all of Frankenstein's books attempts to recreate the experiments and because of which is sent to an insane aslyum. Kate Winslet's character in the movie Quills (a more recent aslyum flick) reminds me of the character "Angel" in this movie - the beautiful innocent girl sought after by all the lunitics. The brute in that one reminded me of the monster in this as well. Was it all a coincidence? This movie was different enough from the original Frankenstien for it to not be a rip-off, but there are more innovative Frankenstien movies out there. Overall it was pretty enjoyable.
