House of Clocks Review

Review: House of Clocks

Director: Lucio Fulci

Rumor has it this was supposed to be an Italian TV movie that ending up being too violent to air. Where they not familiar with Fulci's brand of horror? Of course it was going to be violent! Even though it probably had a fraction of the gore City of the Walking Dead or the Beyond had, it still didn't go light on it. The movie itself had a pretty cool nightmarish nonsensical plot, but only a 2/5 on the Cat in the Brain meter. The greatest thing about this DVD is it came with some interviews of the cast. I LOVE how actors portray Fulci. On the one hand they admire and respect his abilities, on the other they fucking hate his guts for treating them like total shit. He put an actress underground for a 1/2 hour with barely any air, he had the old man do a fight scene in which he got his rib broke. The old guy was afraid to speak up about it until the end of the scene - ha ha!
