Indestructible Review

Review: Indestructible

Artist: Rancid

I had a gift certificate for Sam Goody and I'll be damned but they were all sold out of the Ramones CD that I had planned on buying, so on a whim I picked up the new Rancid. I am a huge fan of their ....And Out Come the Wolves album and doubt they could ever top it. To me Rancid comes off like a modern version of The Clash, in that their music is all over the place and takes alot of chances, which means alot of hits and misses. There are some tinges of world music, mixed in with their usual punk/ska type sound. About half of the songs on this album are really good. Stand out tracks are Indestructible, Red Hot Moon, Arrested in Shanghai, Memphis, and Otherside. This certainly could have been a 4 star album if they had cut about 3-4 of the 19 tracks. If you liked Rancid before you will dig this, if you didn't like them you probably still won't,
