Kill Baby Kill Review

Review: Kill Baby Kill

Director: Mario Bava

A man of science comes to a small village as part of a murder investigation. The locals are filled with superstition and fear of the supernatural. As it turns out, their fears are justified. A ghost is on a murdering spree; its killing nearly everyone it comes in contact with. Does this description ring any bells? It should if you've seen Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow. Burton borrows quite a bit from Kill Baby Kill (Italian title: Operazione paura). It'd be great if Mario Bava got the kind of respect some of the many directors he's influenced have. I'd love to someday see a widescreen version of this in the original dub. Still the color on this DVD looked pretty good. Scenes where the foreground was orange and the background was blue were amazing. I can't recall anything quite like it.
