Director: Dario Argento
Been wanting to see this for years now. I had heard from many that it was better than Susperia, but after watching it I have to disagree. Opera did have its moments though, the "eye-hole" scene alone makes it worth seeing. Susperia created a mood with it's visuals and soundtrack that Opera just couldn't compete with. Often the death scenes in Opera used songs sounding not unlike Iron Maiden, making those parts funny rather then intense. The killer would tape needles underneath the main girl's eyes in order to force her to watch his dirty work. It was interesting in concept, but the way it was presented in the movie it clearly wouldn't work. Still looked wicked and made for a good movie poster
