Director: Michele Soavi
This was the first movie directed by Michele Soavi (The Church, Cemetary Man). It had it's moments, but overall it was a typical 80's slasher flick. It didn't really set itself apart from the american variety of the same period. Most slasher films like Friday the 13th, Halloween, etc. don't really do it for me aside from the death scenes. Bunch of unlikeable teens running and screaming, slow faceless killer, same ol' cliches at every turn. Stage Fright wasn't far off from this formula, but like I said it did have it's moments. Certainly doesn't hold a candle to Soavi's next few films.
