The Abominable Dr. Phibes Review

Review: The Abominable Dr. Phibes

Director: Robert Fuest

This flick has some very creative death scenes along with some stylish art direction, which is why it sort of reminds me of an Argento movie. Takes those aspects and add a cool revenge plot starring none other than Vincent Price, and you’ve got one great movie. Vincent Price’s character is a virtuoso organ player / theology expert / meticulous revenge killer. He figures out modern ways to create ancient hebrew curses (such as a swarm of locusts) in exacting his revenge. I’m curious if the sequel is as good… only one way to find out.
