Walking Tall Review

Review: Walking Tall

Director: Kevin Bray

i was pleasently suprised with this movie. Believe it or not, but Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson actually has a little bit of acting talent. This movie, loosely based on a true story, revolves around Chris Vaughn, a US Special Forces Army Seargent, who returns home after (3?) years to find his loving town turned upside down after the local Mill has closed and the new deal in town is the casino. After his nephew almost dies on some shitty crystal meth sold to him and his friends by the security guards at the casino, Vaughn brandishes a 2x4 and goes a-swingin' at anything that lies in his path. Aside from being hideously short (the film is only about 1hr, 10 minutes with an additional 15 minutes of ending credits), the film also features the worst actor of all time, Johnny Knoxville, who actually redeems himself and potrays a very good best-friend/sidekick character as Vaughns only deputy. I actually pictured him kicking ass with the Rock. Which was almost too much.
