Director: Bryan Singer
I grew up reading marvel comics, so I was pretty psyched when I learned they were making a big budget X-Men. The first one had it's moments, but it was a let-down overall. My expectations were not too high for this one, so I was surprised at how entertaining X2 was. Looking back on the first one I realize it was more of an introduction to get people who didn't read the comic familiar with all these characters. This left the sequel free to explore some better stories. It was great, Wolverine got plenty ferocious, in one scene he stabs his claws right into a guy's chest (would have made it even better had it been R-rated and nice and bloody). It had more subtle things for fans of the comic in this one, including big hints at what'll be going on in the third movie (notice the phoenix in the waves in the very end).
