Director: J. A. Lazer
This is one of those movies where the packaging is much cooler than the actual movie: Great cover art, good photos, interesting description. Zombie Germans from WWII come out of a lake to attack French villagers, sound cool? It's not. I don't think it quite deserves the tag line "The Most Terrifying Zombie Massacre Ever To Come To the Screen!" There's nothing terrifying about Zombie Lake. Aside from multiple under water rear-view shots of nude women doing the scissor-kick, this movie sucked. Horrible green make-up job, boring pace, a bit of bad dialogue: Zombie Lake was an all around shitty movie. I did get a good laugh out of the hallmark moment between zombie and daughter though. Hmmm... maybe it wasn't so bad after all. In case you're interested, the director "J.A. Lazer" is actually Julian de Laserna who was co-directing with Jean Rollin. Zombie Lake is certainly not the best French-Spanish co-production out there.
